## What Makes a Good Brush-out Board

A brush-out board needs to accept wet paint evenly, dry without warping, and present the colour against a consistent, neutral background. The substrate must be porous enough for paint adhesion but rigid enough for showroom display. Getting this balance right is the difference between a professional colour presentation tool and a warped, patchy embarrassment.

- **Substrate: **Specially coated boards with controlled porosity for even paint absorption and consistent dry-back
- **Sizes: **A4, A3 and custom sizes. Standard thickness 1.5–2mm for rigidity without excessive weight
- **Surface: **Bright white, neutral grey or custom base colours. Matt finish to avoid glare under showroom lighting
- **Branding: **Your logo, colour reference codes and application instructions printed to the board edges
- **Packaging: **Supplied in protective interleaved stacks or individual poly-wrap for retail distribution

## Production Process

### 1. Substrate Selection

We specify board substrates tested for compatibility with your paint system water-based, solvent-based or both.

### 2. Surface Preparation

Boards are coated with a controlled primer layer that ensures even paint absorption across the full surface.

### 3. Brand Printing

Edges, headers and reference panels are pre-printed with your branding and colour identification.

### 4. Quality & Packaging

Boards are inspected, interleaved and packaged for distribution to showrooms or direct to trade customers.
